James Madison Simmons, Jr
Funeral Services were held at Allen Funeral Chapel for James Madison (Junior) Simmons, Jr on Friday August 19, 1988 at 2 pm. Reverend A. L. Draper officiated.
Mr. Simmons passed away Tuesday, August 16, 1988. he was the son of James Madison Simmons and Winnie Lou (Benson)Simmons, he was born November 11, 1929. He proudly served the US Army as Tech Sergeant during Korea.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Lee Chester Simmons and one daughter Debra Lynn Simmons.
Survivors include three children Vickie Rush of Denton, Sharon McQueen of Plano and James Madison Simmons, III http://james-simmons.last-memories.com/ of Plano. Six grandchildren: Virginia Lee Rush; Johnny Earl Rush, II and Barry Don Rush all of Denton. Jason Edward Sides; Stephen Ray Whitworth and Dovie Wesberry of Plano. Three brothers: Willie D. Strickland and Bobby Simmons both of Wylie and Kenneth Simmons of Nevada.
Interment was in the Wylie Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Allen Funeral Home.
